CP-GIFTS Scholarship 2026 – P10,000 Financial Assistance for College Students (Apply Now)
The Cebu Provincial Government is now offering financial assistance to qualified college students through the Cebu Province-Governor’s Integrated Financial Assistance for Tertiary Students (CP-GIFTS) program.
Are you a college student from Cebu looking for financial help to continue your studies? A total of 5,900 scholarship slots are now open and around 1,000 slots are still available for incoming first-year college students for the upcoming academic year.
What is the CP-GIFTS Scholarship?
The CP-GIFTS is a tertiary education assistance program by the Cebu Provincial Government that provides P10,000 in financial aid to qualified college students every semester. The provincial government has allocated at least P59 million per semester for this program.
How Many Slots are Available?
The 5,900 scholarship slots are distributed as follows:
- Office of the Governor – 2,500 slots (open to students from any part of Cebu)
- Office of the Vice Governor – 1,500 slots (open to students from any part of Cebu)
- 19 Members of the Provincial Board – 100 slots each, distributed within their respective districts and constituencies

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the CP-GIFTS Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must maintain a grade average of at least 85 percent
- Must be enrolled in a four-year course in a state university or college, local university or college, or other public higher education institution in the country

Interested applicants may visit the Office of the Governor, Office of the Vice Governor, or their respective Provincial Board member’s office to apply for the CP-GIFTS Scholarship. Around 1,000 slots are still available for incoming first-year college students.

I am Danica Nicole B. Gerozaga from Barangay La Paz. I recently graduated from Ayala National High School and will be an incoming first-year college student at Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University.
I would like to apply for this scholarship because I come from a financially challenged family. We are a family of six, and our only source of income is my father, Rocky Gerozaga, who works as a habal-habal driver. My mother, Faith Gerozaga, is a housewife who takes care of our family.
Supporting the education of four children is a great challenge for my parents. I am the eldest and will be entering college, while my two younger siblings are in high school and our youngest sibling is in elementary school. Because of our financial situation, pursuing higher education has become difficult for us.
If I am fortunate enough to be granted this scholarship, it will greatly help me with my educational expenses, including enrollment and other school-related needs. It will also lessen the financial burden on my parents and allow them to continue supporting the education of my siblings.
I assure you that I will use this opportunity and any financial assistance responsibly and wisely. I am determined to work hard in my studies and make the most of this chance to achieve my dreams and help my family in the future.

Is my daughter qualified? She is a DOST passer but due to Merit scholar , the whole tuition fee for Civil Engineering Student at San Carlos University, only 40k will be covered for every school year. Can she apply in Cebu Province?
