GSIS STEM Scholarship 2026: Now Accepting Applicants
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is now accepting applications for the GSIS STEM Scholarship for Academic Year 2026-2027.

What is the GSIS STEM Scholarship Program (GSSP)?
The GSSP is a scholarship subsidy program by GSIS for children of qualified GSIS members who are enrolled in STEM Bachelor’s Degree courses in CHED-recognized higher education institutions. A maximum of 1,000 slots are available every year from AY 2026-2027 to AY 2029-2030.
Who Can Apply?
The following GSIS members may apply for the GSSP:
- Must be a regular active GSIS member with permanent employment status
- Must be at Salary Grade 15 and below or its equivalent job grade
- Must have updated premium payments during the application period
- A member-applicant can only apply for one (1) child for the duration of the program
- PWD, IP, and Solo Parent members are also eligible to apply
Note: A PTD pensioner who is below 60 years of age within the application period may also apply for their child under the GSSP.

Who Can Qualify?
The nominated child of the GSIS member must meet the following qualifications:
- Must be an incoming first-time college freshman
- Must be accepted in any four- or five-year GSIS-identified STEM Bachelor’s Degree course
- Must be enrolled in a CHED-registered Autonomous and Deregulated Private HEI, Chartered University, SUC under Level III or IV Classification, LCU, Center of Excellence (COE), or Center of Development (COD)
- Must have a GWA of at least 90% with no failing grade in Senior High School
What are the Scholarship Benefits
GSSP Grantees will receive the following benefits:
- P15,000 subsidy per Academic Year for the duration of their course
- Latin honors monetary incentives upon graduation:
- Summa Cum Laude – P50,000
- Magna Cum Laude – P30,000
- Cum Laude – P20,000
Note: The subsidy will only be released upon submission of current college/university grades with a GWA of at least 85%. The grant is non-transferable.
Documentary Requirements
Eligible GSIS members must submit the following documents to the nearest GSIS office:
- Duly accomplished GSSP Application Form
- Original or certified true copy of PSA-issued birth certificate of the nominated child
- Original or certified true copy of Certificate of Employment or Service Record of the member
- Certification from the college/university that the child is accepted or enrolled, stating the course, duration, and year level
- Original or certified true copy of SHS Report Card with at least 90% GWA and no failing grade
For PWD, IP, and Solo Parent applicants:
- Endorsement from the head of agency/office
- Valid PWD ID, Certificate of Tribal Membership, or Solo Parent ID, as applicable
How to Apply for the GSIS STEM Scholarship
Eligible GSIS members may download the application form. After completing the form, submit it along with all the required supporting documents to the nearest GSIS office on or before the deadline.
Application Period
Applications are open from June 30, 2026 to August 31, 2026.
