What are the OWWA Scholarship Programs?

OWWA offers two major scholarship programs for qualified dependents of active OWWA members:

OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP)

The ODSP provides educational assistance of P20,000 per school year (P10,000 per semester) to qualified dependents of active OWWA member-OFWs.

Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP)

The EDSP grants P60,000 per school year (P30,000 per semester) to qualified Grade 12 graduates who pass the qualifying examination administered by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

Only a limited number of scholars are admitted each year in Palawan alone, two scholars successfully passed the EDSP qualifying examination and are currently receiving scholarship benefits.

  • OWWA membership is valid for two years or for the duration of the employment contract
  • Membership must be renewed after expiration to continue availing of OWWA programs and services
  • Scholarship slots are limited each year, so applicants are encouraged to prepare requirements and ensure their OWWA membership is active before the application period opens

How to Apply for the OWWA Scholarship?

Interested applicants must monitor the opening of the online scholarship application period through the official OWWA website, where the application link will be posted. Since slots are limited, applicants are encouraged to prepare all required documents in advance.
