Educational Assistance 2026 – P5,000 Cash Assistance for College Students


The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in coordination with the office of Pangasinan Fourth District Rep. Gina “Manay Gina” de Venecia, has distributed P5,000 in educational assistance to 1,200 college students for Academic Year 2026-2027.

What is the Educational Assistance Program?

The DSWD Educational Assistance Program provides financial aid to qualified college students to help defray education-related expenses, including tuition, school supplies, transportation, and other school requirements.

The program has been implemented in Pangasinan’s Fourth District for decades, tracing its roots to the tenure of former House Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr., and is now being continued by Rep. Gina de Venecia and former congressman Christopher “Toff” de Venecia.

How much is the financial assistance?

A total of 1,200 college students from Pangasinan’s Fourth District each received P5,000 in educational assistance, amounting to a total of P6 million in financial aid. The distribution was conducted on June 26 at the Dagupan City Plaza.
