The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) is now offering 25 free online courses for the second half of 2026, running from July to December 2026.
Are you a student, professional, or educator looking to learn new skills for free? UPOU’s Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are self-paced, free of charge, and open to everyone and you even get a certificate when you’re done.

What are UPOU MOOCs?
UPOU Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are free, self-paced online courses offered through the UPOU MODeL platform.
Courses cover a wide range of topics and are perfect for students, professionals, educators, and anyone looking to upskill while balancing other commitments. Upon completion of each course, participants receive a 16-hour electronic certificate that can be included in a resume or professional portfolio.

How to Enroll
Follow these simple steps to enroll in a UPOU MOOC:
- Go to model.upou.edu.ph
- Click “LOG IN” to create a new account
- Fill out the form with your details (make sure your email address is correct and has enough storage to receive messages)
- Check your email for your confirmation link (expect delays of up to 3 business days due to high volume of users)
- Confirm and log in
- Browse the homepage and select the course you want to enroll in
Note: Self-enrollment usually starts two weeks before the start of the course and remains available while the course is ongoing. UPOU recommends using a Gmail address when creating your account for reliable delivery of messages.
