How to apply for the DOST JLSS Scholarship 2026?

The application process is fully online. You do not need to submit physical documents to the DOST offices unless specifically instructed later. Follow these steps carefully:

Step 1: Register and Verify

Go to the official DOST-SEI JLSS E-Application System.

  • Use a Permanent Email: Do not use your school email address (e.g., @edu.ph), as you might lose access to it after graduation. Use a personal Gmail or Yahoo account.
  • Check your Inbox: You will receive a verification link. Click it to activate your account.

Step 2: Eligibility Check

Before you can fill out the main form, you must answer a series of questions in the Eligibility section. This confirms if you meet the age, citizenship, and academic requirements (GWA of 83% and “Regular” status).

Step 3: Complete the Information section

Once cleared, you need to fill out several sections. Have your data ready for:

  • Personal & Contact Data: Address, phone number, and birth details.
  • Family & Household Data: Occupation and gross income of parents/guardians.
  • School & Grades: Your course details and grades from your 1st year to the 1st semester of your 2nd year.

Step 4: Upload Required Documents

This is where most applicants fail. Ensure all files are in PDF, JPEG, or PNG format and under 5MB each.

  • Forms C to I: These must be the official 2026 templates, signed by the correct authorities (e.g., Dean, Registrar, or Barangay Captain).
  • Photo Requirement: Your passport-size photo must have a handwritten name tag with your signature over it.

Step 5: Select Your Test Center

Choose the testing location closest to you. Note that for the June 28, 2026 exam. Once you submit, you cannot change your testing center.

Step 6: Final Review and Submission

Review every single page. Check for spelling errors in your name and ensure all uploaded files are readable.

  • Click Submit: You will receive a confirmation email.
  • Download your Application Form: Keep a copy of your generated application and Science Scholarship ID (SSID).

Important: No changes can be made after submission.

3 Rules for a Successful Application:

  1. A4 Paper Only: When you print Forms C to I for signing, use A4 size bond paper. Using Letter or Legal size may cause issues during the scanning and evaluation process.
  2. No Multiple Accounts: Do not try to create a second account if you make a mistake. It will flag your application as a duplicate and delay your evaluation.
  3. Wet Signatures: Digital or “e-signatures” are often rejected. It is safer to print the form, sign it with a pen, and scan it back into your computer.

What happens after you click Submit?

  • Evaluation: DOST-SEI staff will review your documents. This can take several weeks.
  • Test Permit: If your documents are in order, you will receive your Test Permit via email about 2 weeks before the exam date.
  • Exam Day: Bring your printed Test Permit, a valid ID, and your pencils to the center on June 28, 2026.
